Alvin typically represents business owners or high net-worth debtors-in-possession, chapter 11 and chapter 7 bankruptcy trustees, secured and unsecured creditors, DIP lenders and landlords. (f/k/a TLO, Inc.) in its chapter 11 reorganization which included a 22 hour auction sale that generated enough funds to pay all creditors in full, with interest, and return in excess of $40 million to equity to date. The transactions earned two M & A Advisor Turnaround Awards for Financial Services Deal of the Year and Professional Services (B-to-B) Deal of the Year.
Board-certified in bankruptcy. Beginning his career in New York primarily representing secured lenders in bankruptcy proceedings, out-of-court restructurings and state court collection proceedings, Alvin relocated to South Florida in 1993. He received his J.D. cum laude from Boston University School of Law, and is a Board Certified Business Bankruptcy Attorney by the American Board of Certification.
